All These Lonely People by Gervase Phinn - A heartwarming story

Gervase Phinn is an English author and lecturer. Gervase is not only a bestselling author for Penguin, but also he is a successful children’s author published by Puffin as he has published many books for children. He lives with his family near Doncaster.

“All These Lonely People”, written by Gervase Phinn is part of the Quick Reads series, which contains exciting, short, fast-paced books. The story revolves around few characters, their life styles and their activities. Also the story reveals the ups and downs that happen in everyday life in a truly heartwarming manner. In this story, Father McKenzie still manages to see the good in everyone, even though there are huge problems for him to worry about. Not being a perfect man in all aspects, Father McKenzie carries on valiantly doing his best.

Although there are not much regular attendees for Father McKenzie in the church, Miss Rigby and a little boy -- Matthew visits the church regularly, who finds comfort in the church. Moreover, Father McKenzie is often met by a young man, who is seeking for advice since his mind is terribly disturbed right from the day he discovered that he was adoped child by a couple.

Everyday, Father McKenzie meets different people in the church who seek him for advice and blessings. But his job is made more difficult by his nosy housekeeper and the gossips from the shop down the road. What sort of problems does Father McKenzie face? Will he continue in seeing the good side of the people?
