Matt FW Curran was born in 1974 in Essex and now he lives in Sheffield with his wife.
“The Secret War”, written by M.F.W.Curran is a historical fantasy novel that plots out the secret battle fought between Heaven and Hell. Angles and Daemons, knights and vampires fight for the future of mankind, and as the two sides continue their war across the world, innocent people are caught up in the clash.

As the story begins, Napoleon has lost and so the battle of Waterloo comes to an end. The newly promoted Captain William Saxon and his closest friend Lieutenant Kieran Harte are survivors of the Battle of Waterloo along with their few men. William is much disappointed as he lost many men under his command. Also his buddy, Kieran has been injured and is exhausting in the Belgian town of Gembloux where he falls in love with a neighborhood lady. Soon he decides to leave the army once his colleagues return home, willing to start a new life with his lover.
But things started to change, when a mysterious artefact is stolen from the body of a dead French soldier, which has the power to raise a daemon. Soon this daemon plunders the town of Gembloux, killing soldiers and civilians alike, including Kieran's lover. Subjected to emotions and anger, Kieran and William join hands to fight against this monster, in order to kill it once in for all. During this mission, they meet a man named Engrin who leads them to Rome and introduces them to a fading secret organization in the Catholic Church that is fighting against these daemons and worse. Also they get a chance to meet an enigmatic warrior, who is believed to have the key for the fate of mankind. Will the daemon be killed? Or is this the end of mankind?
