Karen Marie Moning, who was born in 1964, is an American author of romance novels. Being the author of the Highlander series, Karen’s novels have received many awards. Now she lives inCincinnati, Ohio.
“To Tame a Highland Warrior” is the sequel to the first book in the highlander series -- “Beyond the Highland Mist”. The story begins in 1499, narrating the tale of Gavrael McIllioch also known as Grimm -- the son of a powerful Highland laird and Hawk’s best friend. He also believes that his father had killed his mother because of a hereditary madness and he too has the same illness.
Since Grimm has no one to look after him, he seeks as a refuge with the St Clair family. After some years, when Grimm realizes that he is in love with the beautiful daughter of St. Clair family -- Jillian, he leaves the family fearing that he may harm her like his father killed his mother. Gibraltar and Elizabeth are at their wits’ ends with the problem of trying to find a husband for Jillian. But, Jillian vowed never to wed anyone except Grimm, since she too loved him a lot. Knowing this, Jillian’s parents also want her to marry for love and so she gets a chance to opt between numerous suitors, in which Grimm is also one of the suitors.
Even though Jillian is unaware of the hidden mysteries in the life of Grimm, she believes that she is the only woman to tame the beast that is raged within him. Will Grimm destroy his enemies before starting a new life with Jillian?
